Key points

  • EDF has introduced the Simple Money scheme, offering customers a choice between four new energy tariff options upon switching.
  • ['New customers can access specialized electric vehicle tariffs including GoElectric or Pod Point Plug and Power options.', 'Participants can join the Flextras loyalty programme to gain access to various rewards, perks, and promotional offers.']

EDF has launched its Simple Money initiative, which allows new customers to choose from several energy tariff structures when switching their supply. The range includes fixed, tracker, and dynamic options, as well as specific plans designed for electric vehicle owners.

The company states that after a customer completes the switch, their supply will initially be placed on a standard variable tariff. Once a smart meter is fully connected to the provider's systems, customers can transition to their selected EV tariff.

Available tariff options

Households can select from a variety of plans including Simply Fixed, Simply Tracker, FreePhase Dynamic, or FreePhase Static. For those with electric vehicles, the company offers the GoElectric and Pod Point Plug and Power tariffs. If a customer selects the Pod Point option, the company states that Pod Point will coordinate the installation and payment process for the Solo 3S charger.
